A group of students and staff from the Netherlands, Spain and Finland have been staying here at Cossington Park whilst they participate in a week’s programme with Bridgwater & Taunton College. The students are participating in an Erasmus+ funded project (short for the European Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students) which is focusing on problem-based learning. Throughout the week the students are split in to mixed-nationality teams and given a problem to solve by an employer. They then have to present their solution back to the employer at the end of the week.
It’s a great opportunity for students to meet other people from different countries and practice their language, team working and problem solving skills. With them staying and cooking together at Cossington Park means they are also practicing important life skills – vital to set them up for the wider world.
