A 200-acre leisure park with rides, a Waterpark, indoor soft play area, and a 16-hole golf course. There are various restaurants on-site, or you can take a picnic.

Cheddar Gorge and Caves, Cheddar
Home to the famous Gough Caves, Cheddar Gorge is a picturesque limestone Gorge with astounding views and lots of wildlife.
Families can enjoy a tour of the caves, or a visit to the museum of prehistory where kids can find out about our ancestors, hear stories, or watch live cave painting demonstrations.
Mendip Activity Centre, Winscombe
The Mendip Activity Centre offers a huge range of activities, including abseiling, archery, caving, canoeing, rock climbing, and more!
There’s also a fabulous dry ski slope if you fancy trying skiing, snowboarding, or tobogganing, without the snow.
Bishops Palace, Wells
A historic, 13th-century palace and home to the Bishops of Bath and Wells. With 13 acres of beautiful grounds, a moat, and a children’s play area. Look at the website for details of children’s activities during the school holidays, including crafting, storytelling, and family trails.
Dogs are allowed in the grounds on a lead.
Wookey Hole, Near Wells
A popular family attraction with fascinating caves and lots of other activities, including a soft play area, crazy golf, arcade‐type attractions, a 4-D cinema, and dinosaurs!
National Trust – Montacute House, Montacute
A beautiful late Elizabethan mansion with extensive gardens and parklands. Events and family activities are run throughout the year – check the website for details.
Longleat Safari Park, Warminster
The world’s first safari park outside of Africa. Enjoy a safari tour with lots of amazing animals, lounge on the beach, take a Jungle Cruise, ride the railway, and more!

A beautiful 2-mile accessible walk just outside of the Heritage City of Bath, with a woodland play area and elf and fairy foray.
