Cossington Park is situated at the very heart of the beautiful Somerset village of Cossington. We’ve been lucky enough to host numerous special celebrations and community events on the estate.

Local couple Ruth and Jim have visited us several times for their own special celebrations, village events, and occasions hosted by other friends in the village.

In 2009, Ruth and Jim celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary at Cossington Park with around 100 family and friends. With marquees in the garden and all the bedrooms in both Park House and Park Cottage full, the house and gardens were brimming.

Ruth and Jim thought how lovely it would be to come back at a less busy time and just enjoy the peace and quiet of the estate.

Earlier this year they returned to stay at Park House to celebrate their 63rd anniversary. At Graham’s invitation, they were joined on the Wednesday by 40 other villagers for the Cossington weekly charity coffee morning. Coffee, cake, and a few glasses of celebratory bubbly were enjoyed by all!

Here’s what Ruth and Jim had to say about their stay:

“The peaceful elegance of the estate was a perfect setting for the event, and we were blessed with fine weather so could gather outside in the sunshine.

The house is so attractive, with the antique furniture allowing a glimpse into a bygone age – but with the most comfortable arrangements.

We understand there are around 5.000 books so enough to keep the most avid reader fully occupied!

We can certainly recommend Cossington Park as a wonderful place to make special memories!
